September marks the 35th anniversary of one of television's most beloved sitcoms that ever was, "The Golden Girls." While most of us grew up watching these four sassy women, a whole new generation has fallen in love with them, thanks to syndication. This week's look pays tribute to the show and each of the characters that makes it so beloved. Let's start with casual staples, a pair of mid-rise skinny jeans by Off-White and a local tee from The KY Shop, which displays our lovely state shaped in the hairstyles of the entire "The Golden Girls" cast. We wanted each of our accessories to be a sweet nod to each of the ladies, starting with the most iconic of them all - Sophia's straw purse. These Marc Jacobs pearl filled sandals carry an ode to Rose, who often would wear a strand (of pearls) to showcase her sweet and demure style. Last but not least, we had to toss in a little Blanche Devereaux glamour with oversized Gucci sunglasses, which is perfect for a sun-loving southern belle. The finishing touch to our nostalgic look is a Pat McGrath lipstick in a deep shade of coral-red, a favorite color worn by all of the ladies throughout the series. With COVID still very much a thing in our daily lives, it's nice to find comfort in things that never fail to make us smile. In this outfit, you can eat cheesecake and 'Stay Golden' even in the most uncertain times.
