Harlan Jacobson’s Talk Cinema: A Curated Series of Surprises This national series, programmed by the venerable film critics and curators Harlan and Susan Jacobson, features a sneak preview screening of an art house film before its release, followed by a discussion. The series occurs monthly through April. The February/March selections will be announced a few weeks before the events on the Speed’s website and social media. Last year’s series featured such stellar titles as Moonlight (Best Picture 2016), A Man Called Ove, Toni Erdmann, Land of Mine, and 20th Century Women. This year’s selections have included Rebel in the Rye, The Florida Project, Lady Bird, I, Tonya, and The Other Side of Hope. Free for Cinephile members / $16 Speed members / $18 non-members
